Seepje is a 100% vegetable and fair trade detergent that is good for you and the environment. Seepje consists of special vegetable peels that release a natural form of soap when in contact with water and thus make the laundry wonderfully clean.
A cleaner and more beautiful world! The liquid Seepjes consist of 70% peel extract, and other natural substances have been added to promote washing power. Think of saponified sunflower oil and citric acid to give a wonderful scent to the laundry.
The peels are purchased by Seepje in Nepal at a fair price and they are then packaged at sheltered workshops in the Netherlands

This is how Seepje works
The Sapindus mukorossi fruits grow in abundance on trees in and around the Himalayan mountains. The peels of these fruits contain a natural form of soap called saponin. They come into contact with water in your washing machine, causing them to spontaneously release their soap! Hypoallergenic and without chemical substances, these super peels make your laundry wonderfully clean and soft.
Due to the favorable climate in the Himalayas, the largest fruits of the highest quality grow there. These peels therefore contain a lot of natural soap. They are harvested from the wild and allow us to create a positive impact for the environment and everyone involved.
The natural soap form is nice for your skin and your laundry! The peels also work as a fabric softener and you can use them for all types of laundry, even for delicate fabrics such as wool and silk. For an extra nice scent, we have added a bottle with 10 milliliters of organic essential oil to the fragrance variants.

It started in March 2013, when Melvin and Jasper saw on television how people in Nepal made natural soap from fruit peels. The Sapindus peel contains saponin, a natural form of soap, which is released when the peels come into contact with water. Melvin and Jasper came into contact with Hari, the Nepalese peel farmer, and decided to scrape together their student loans to ship a first load of peels to the Netherlands. They saw an opportunity to make people happy with a wonderful product, and at the same time improve working and living conditions in Nepal!
There are now 16 different Seepje products, and we think that is important. Because the more people use Seepje, the more we can do together for people and the environment. You can wash with the super peels themselves, or with one of the liquid Seepjes. Are you going for Seepje Freshly squeezed spring scent or Free and happy scent...?
Seepje is officially microplastic-free! Seepje has the Zero Plastic Inside certificate from the Plastic Soup Foundation.
