Sodium Bicarbonate | Baking Soda or Sodium Bicarbonate is a natural product. Completely biodegradable and can be used for 1001 cleaning jobs. Baking soda degreases, deacidifies, descales and absorbs odors. In addition, it is very environmentally friendly.

Sprinkle a little Baking Soda/Sodium Bicarbonate on a saucer. Dip the moist Eco scouring pads in this and you can start cleaning in a natural way. Works great on the tap, shower head or in the sink. After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with water.

WARNING

Do not use sodium bicarbonate on aluminum, it can turn black.
Do not confuse Baking Soda with the regular crystal-like household soda (Sodium Carbonate). Although you can also clean with this, this is really a different product.

USAGE

You get an average of 3 sanding balls from 1 bale, but then you have to make them yourself. And is that bad? Nope... You just feel like you're somewhere in the mountains when doing this job. Tough types use the entire bale as a scouring pad, but a more economical way is this:

Pull a large section of hair from the bale
Pull the fibers apart a little so that they are pointing in all directions
Roll it into a firm ball like a (vegan) meatball
Give it a good squeeze every now and then while turning
Rinse the ball well under the tap
Squeeze the ball and your Eco scouring pad is ready! :)

The raw material for this plastic-free scouring pad is Stipa Tenacissima. This sturdy grass occurs naturally in Southern Europe and does not require pesticides. It is hand-picked with respect for the ecosystem. The roots simply remain in place and the plant continues to grow quietly. The picked blades are then washed in water, dried and bleached in the sun. Later they are processed into bales.

They are transported overland, there is no freight ship involved. No lugging around polluting raw materials and no chemicals are used during the production process.
